What I should do in this case:
1. Use the 2007 CD to uninstall Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote 2007.
2. Use the 2010 setup to install the 2010 versions.
I don't know what Outlook 2007 thinks about it. But it might work. If not, your alternatives seem to be:
- go back to Word 2007
- go forward to Outlook 2010
- use Outlook's native editor in stead of using Word
- use a totally different email program

I bought the complete version (not upgrade) of MS Office 2010 Home and Student.. and I want to replace only the components in that package (Word, Excel, PP, and OneNote), and keep my 2007 version of Outlook and Publisher (previously installed with the 2007 Enterprise package).
Can this be done, and do I select Upgrade or new installation when installing Office 2010?
I do not want to keep the 2007 versions of Word, Excel, PP, and OneNote, but REPLACE them with the 2010 versions - yet keep the old 2007 versions of Outlook and Publisher.
I also read that I cannot use Outlook 2007 with Word 2010 - is this true?
