Office 2007 templates slow down the speed on XP

by andymore / August 21, 2009 6:19 PM PDT

I am having a small office network made up of 3 desktops and 1 laptop. The desktops run on XP service pack 2 and the laptop run on vista service pack 2. I have shared the shared documents folder of each desktop with each of other systems in the network. I have created templates in word 2007 for use of my office staff. Now when they open word 2007 for a fresh file based on default template, the system runs as usual. However, when they open word 2007 for a fresh file based on templates created by me, the system slows down. The problem persists even if the tempalte is stored on the same computer.
Am I missing something in template creation?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
