Office 2007 - Can Not Stand it

May 25, 2006 10:18AM PDT

I installed the application while I was on the plane and it was painfully slow to install. That said it was nice to be able to copy and paste a whole CD code in Happy.

For the power user who is used to working with the menus and finding stuff, I am finding it quite a challenge to adapt to the wrapper (or whatever it is called) style of tool arrangement.

So I discovered my first problem with the Outlook Application - it filtered my BOL newsletter as SPAM! When I did find it sitting in the Junk mail I unmarked it as SPAM and it disappeared. Microsoft is really not rocking the house as far as Office 2007 goes.

I will probably restore my computer to an earlier image once I get home and install the BETA on a test rig.

I do like the lower profile top bar to the Office 2007 Applications! I guess that's a plus!

I'll tell you something - Windows Vista is sure gonna use a lot of RAM once you have the graphics running and Outlook down on the task bar!

I like Office '07...

I installed it this morning. I like the new interface, I found the old one (2003) to be quite bland. Outlook screwed me over aswell, failing to connect to Gmail's POP3 server *grrrr. Sad

You can't really complain...it is free.

PS. Does the beta eventually expire when the retail version emerges?
