For owners that are not in a company environment, the improvements are cosmetic.
Since I was faced with such costs, at the office as well... we began a transition to using more Open Office installs since it's very compatible and the cost savings were icing on the cake. http://www.openoffice.org

I have XP OS and use my old copy of MS Office 2000. My main use is Excel. Recently I bought a new computer which came with a 60-day trial version of Office 2003. Excel 2003 has a nicer look over Excel 2000. But is there any major improvement over Office 2000 suite? I hate to spend extra money if there is no significant improvement. Does anyone know major differences (improvements) of Excel 2003 over Excel 2000?
