Office 2003 and XP update issue

May 26, 2005 6:16PM PDT

Hi.
I'm unable to update Office 2003. Get the screen describing how to allow ActiveX, but...
Tried everything, nothing works. The yellow bar pops up and dissapares before you can blink.
This pussels me because everything else works perfect. It's only in Office update this happends.

Can anyone enlighten me here?

Thank you

Have you tried downloading from this page?

Yes - Manual download

That works, but the issue is automatic. It starts scanning, and then reports the need to install activeX, but I'm preventet from doing that.

"everything"? is tested
May 31, 2005 10:34PM PDT

Thank you all for trying to help.

Everything is tested as far as I know. Pop-up stoppers removed. Reinstalled Office. Intenet settings all to low etc.
The funny thing is that ActiveX installation is ok everywhere else.

Actually, I give up. I hvae no Idea where to look next for a possible solution.

Patches - already installed

Thank you. It seems I have to do it that way, but keeping track of what's already installed will demand some work.
