office 2000 in vista

Mar 13, 2007 10:31PM PDT

Does anyone know if office 2000 proffessional is compatible with vista? I would hate to pay the money for new office software if I don't have to.

I loaded office 2000 premium on vista. I can not get microsoft outlook to work. When I open outlook and click to create a new message or try to read a email, a window comes up saying there is a problem and will close. When I click details, the following list displays. When I use explore I can not find my outlook.exe file.

For outlook, try this.

Outlook crashed like that on all the other Windows. Here's the TEST.

Click start/run and enter this...

OUTLOOK /SAFE

If it runs it's not Office at fault.

Then you may want to look elsewhere.

If outlook /safe crashed like that I look to finding issues with the machine and not outlook.
