My motherboard is OEMD975XBGG1
I would like to change out all the 1gb ram slots for 4 2gb ram slots.
Can I do this , and can I use Corsair cm2x2048-6400c5c 2gb ?

I have windows 7, 64-bit operating system so it should be able to take advantage of the addition RAM
I also have this processor Intel Core2 quad cpu @2.66Ghz if that info is important.

Gateway says the machine supports dual channel.
That means it's best to install ram in matched pairs/kit.
Gateway says the max ram speed is pc2-5300 and that the max per slot is 2GB.
So.......it would seem what your looking for is.
Two kits of 2x2GB @ pc2-5300.
