What channels is the router sending on?
Also this is also when you power down the router, modem and power them up in order (modem, wait..... router) and re-test.
As to "odd problem", it doesn't sound odd at all. It's a common problem with too many causes. Let's start with a power cycle and looking at the channels the router is sending on.
I am experiencing an odd problem with my home network. I have 2x smart Samsung TVs and 3x ROKU units. I use ATT Uverse for my internet supplier. Last weeked I was doing some electrical work and had several brief outages during a period of about 1 hour. After power was restored all the ROKU units could not find my router. They could find all my neighbors routers. My iPhone could connect as well as the two smart tvs. I unplugged each unit as well as the ATT modem/router and went thru the network setup for each unit. Still no recognition or connection. And, my WIFI range was greatly reduced at the same time. I don't know if the two problems are related but it seems odd that they both happened at the same time. Any ideas?
