OC issues

Nov 24, 2009 3:47PM PST

I have a g71gx-rx05 gaming laptop (top of the line). i am just having an issue with my OC turbo gear (asus software). occasionally i will do a 15% OC which brings me from 2.55ghz to 2.88ghz but sometimes while doing this my laptop will either blue screen or programs/games wont respond. why does it do this. and it doesn't happen to me all the time.

Overclocking is not an assured trick. One machine may overclock without issue and the next will not. I find it sad the makers issue such a trick without explaining it to the buyers.

2 cars. Both speedometers go to 120. One can do that, the other doesn't. But both are designed for use at 65 ish so this does not mean there is a defect.
