Objects and Icons in vista

by barbbat / June 12, 2009 6:43 AM PDT

Hello: I just had a total system crash and had to redo from factory settings. Now, I cannot get the icons to look right - not like they looked before. Anything that has a round shape now appears very distorted. Even the Solitare cards are looking flat and distorted. Is there anyway to adjust this? I would appreciate your help. It's driving me nuts!! I just want everything to look normal. Thanks

Likely screen resolution...
by John.Wilkinson / June 12, 2009 7:08 AM PDT

First, identify the graphics card you have (Everest can help with that task) and download/install the latest drivers for it from the respective manufacturer's website. Then right-click the desktop, select Personalize, click Display Settings, and adjust the resolution, using the slider, until the appearance is as desired.

Hope this helps,

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
