Object deletion in 'internet properties' window

Have XP Pro, Intel. Pentium 4
512 MB Ram

In the internet properties box under temp files-settings-view objects: can these files there be safely deleted as they build up?

Some Cookies you may want to keep as they let you auto-logon to your favorite websites.

The rest of the TIF can be deleted if you want to.

I find it easier to set I.E. to Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed from the Advanced tab.

Thanks David for your reponse and the tip on closing the browser and letting it empy temp files.
