Obama Wants A Second Chance

by James Denison / April 2, 2011 11:35 AM PDT

He believes once is not enough. Papers to be filed soon. Probably not filing the paper I'd like to see though. Let's hear that old college football cheer, "One More Time!" Can you feel the change yet? How's that Hope holding up? I for one am Hoping for Change in 2012!

President Barack Obama is about to make one of Washington's worst kept secrets official: He wants a second term.

Democratic officials familiar with the president's plans said Saturday that Obama intends to file papers as early as this coming week with the Federal Election Commission to launch his 2012 re-election campaign. He also will announce his candidacy to supporters by email and text messages.

The last president who chose not to run for a second term was LBJ in 1968.
