The ONLY thing that both sides have agreed on in the last 6 years is CRs, Go figure."

Nope.....the Dems controlled both Houses for the first four years.....and THEY passed CR's rather than a real budget. After that, the House kept passing their budget in 2011 and 2012, Reid refused to submit one (so one CR was passed for 2011 to 2012 fiscal year) ......and sequester happened in March 2013 because BO refused to accept the recommendations from HIS own committee.

So did President Bush. So why is TownHall so exercised over this one? Ohhhh, Riiiggghht ! It's Obama, and he's a Democrat.

Isn't it funny how Clinton left a surplus, and nobody said, "Thank you. We'll be just as careful"? What they said was "Tax Cuts for the Rich !" and then they said "Chaaarge It !" Privately they said, "WhoTFCares, It's the next @hole's problem. Besides our money is in Tax Shelters."

You seem to not comprehend that there is a

difference between an 'annual deficit' (the budget amount) and the National Debt. Clinton had a surplus because of the Republicans holding both Houses in Congress and forcing his hand during his last four years......the first four years, he was running in the red as any 'blue blooded' Dem would do.

And yes, we had a war (two) that used up the surplus.....however, Bush's deficit and National Debt were peanuts even with two wars going on compared to the damage BO has done in six years. He never 'cut the deficit in half'......he cut his OWN deficit in half because of the sequester....but he kept racking up that National Debt to triple what it was for Bush after eight years and two wars, and BO did that in less than six years with two to go.

If you're going to rant, at least get the facts straight.............

The damage BO has done?

What should he have done? Just pulled out of the two wars that he didn't start? Also the surplus was disappearing before 9/11 because of the tax breaks he was giving to his pals. You know what my tax break was (and I was making good money then) - 25 cents a week? What was yours?

He said he was going to. Still trust him? Maybe every president needs some pissy little country to push around in order to look tough?

That surplus
Jan 16, 2015 5:18PM PST

was disappearing before 9-11? Are you kidding me? Bush was barely even in office 8 months before 9-11.........are you really trying to say he spent the surplus that quickly?

And BO did NOT have to spend TARP ($715B) in less than three months AND grab another $900B for STIMULUS AND an additional $20B or more for Cash for Clunkers AND Cash for Caulkers AND another $30B for GM AND another $500B in home loans for FannieMae/FreddieMac AND another $50B in 'first time buyers' credits......ALL in less than a year. AND A CONTINUOUS $83B PER MONTH FROM THE TREASURY TO WALL STREET SINCE DAY ONE AND IS STILL HAPPENING. AND we haven't counted in the $1T minimum for Obamacare yet...........

AND all of that money went on the National Debt 'credit card'...........

Yep.....looks like damage to me, Diana...........and it's more than triple what Bush did and only getting higher, even though one war has been over with for two years now. Where are those savings? Oh wait....there aren't any because he just switched from one pocket to another for more agendas/programs.
