He should experience the lifestyles of the people he criticizes for their excesses. Never criticize a person until you've walked a mile in their shoes, right? He might decide to walk several miles just to make sure he gets it right.

Do I dare ask if you've ever been President?
Not saying you're condemning him without walking in his shoes.
What I would really like to know about the story is...how many "$500K Members" they have.
As far as Obama eating there...IF the restaurant wants to let them in...and give them free food or make them pay for it....that's their business....I saw where Obama had his credit card rejected...Probably stuck Michelle with the bill ..........AGAIN....What a moocher.
must have handed that card over to BO when he took office...you know, the one that was used according to BO during his first campaign that he said Bush used to pay for the wars but the same card that BO continued to use for the last six years that nobody talks about? BO finally reached the card limit, I guess. So sad when he has to feel like the 'poor folk' whose credit rating has gone into the toilet to the point that the bank locks the card down.
Same thing happened to me....I forgot the pin number....so many cards, so many numbers in my head.
you might have asked that question here...rhetorically at least. Of course you'd probably not get a direct answer but maybe some discussion related to it...or not related to it. I would expect that the POTUS might get a lot of offers for free meals as his very presence in an establishment might prove to be good for business. Even a free membership wouldn't be a loss to the restaurant. Many jobs where a person is recognized in public have such benefits. Some get you special treatment in restaurants. Remember what Father Guido Sarducci about his?
I enjoyed him...he was a funny man.
RE: If you really wanted to know how many members they have you might have asked that question here...rhetorically at least.
I thought I did, in my first post.
I have to wonder how many people would spend $500K just to be able to eat/drink at any restaurant.
in order to "have spent" they "would spend".
You don't suppose someone would "make" them spend do you?
Alright, alright, I'll buy you a $200 burger...but I don't want to. You're not going to make me eat it for you, are you?
concerned about what this could do for the image he seems to want...that of being just one of the "ordinary folk". Don't we hear gripes about high living candidates for political office? that they could never truly understand what it's like to struggle making ends meet? I get the feeling that Obama has never needed to worry about where his next meal would come from...maybe where his next new donor would come from but never his dinner plate.
