RE: What gives???

tragic....many facts are unknown at this time.

Neighbours say individual had purchased(and repaired) a couple of salvaged RCMP cars and there were reports of a BOLO for RCMP car with phony numbers displayed on the side....MAY have had RCMP uniform

2 members of RCMP shot, 1 killed, 1 injured.

Incident ended at a truck stop approx 5 km from the residence of a family member of mine.

At least 17 people killed in N.S. shooting; deadliest such attack in Canada: police

I think most of it will stand up.
All his machinations seem recent. Not the usual disgruntled or hostile prepper* type, leaving behind years of 'hints'. Example: It's thought that the first house was targeted. Anti-cop types usually have a known history.

Seems each province has an alert system but it wasn't used in NS.
Cheryl Maloney, who lives near where one victim, 54-year-old Gina Goulet, was killed, said she was likely saved by her son, who messaged a warning Sunday morning: “Don’t leave your house. This guy is at the end of your road and he’s dressed like a cop.”
“I really could have used that provincial warning, as I walk here all the time and I’ve been in the yard all week,” she said.

Warning is better thsn none, but the guy was prepared and shifty. Would have been bodies anyway.

Green Gables was on P.E.I., I think, but doesn't NS have some kind of bucolic story associated with it? Not any more, I reckon.
