In short, just another digital camera. Nothing looks to make it be a contender.
Why?

Anyone knows anything about this camera? I have Googled it and can't find anything in English... Just heard about it and would appreciate any info on them!
Thanks in advance.

My friend in UK also bought one...I'm glad I didn't.
She is having trouble and is not online, I am trying to get email reply out of NYTECH but they are silent.
Anyone know of an email address for NYTECH that might get a response, please?

Hi I am from Greece and I just bought one. The website is www.nytech.de. It has English translation too.
Though the brand might not sound good but I am very satisfied with what I get. It is of 5 megapixel digital camera and came with, 4 rechargeable Ni-Mh 2000mAh batteries, a battery charger for 4 batteires, a DC adaptor for both the camera and the charger, a USB cable, a video & audio cable for TV, a CD software, a cam carrier pouch, a short sling and most of all a 128MB SD card. I got this package for 276 EURO and with a 3 year warranty.
It packs with quite a lot of features and I had tried numerous shots. Both day and night, with and without flash. I also tried using the video mode. It is quite useful when you need a short video but it can't outdo a MiniDV digital video camera. And with the lowest resolution and smallest picture size(about 67kb), the pic comes out quite good. And with that 128MB SD card, I can take from 52 pics(highest resolution & biggest size)to 3336 pics (lowest resolution & smallest size).
Overall, I can say it is a camera for an intermediate user.

PS: I am new to this forum, I wonder if and how can I post a pic or two taken from the NYTECH 5040?
This forum does not have the ability to post a picture directly to the forum.
You can put your photo(s) somewhere on the internet and post a link to the photos.
...
I have posted on a forum on the follwing URL
http://www.thetreasuredepot.com/cgi-bin/digitalcamera/digital_config.pl?read=13844
(all the shots were taken without flash)
Overall, I am quite satified with it. I would say it is quite a good camera for a beginner and intermediate user. As I had mentioned the only setback is the for night scene shot, it has a few(not many really) minor dots but it can be easily rectified by the software provided. I did not include night shots taken as they were of too big bytes. I will take night shots again with lesser byte and will try to post them soon.
