Question

NVIDIA Output "Not Plugged In"

Mar 3, 2018 10:45AM PST

So, after randomly playing a video game, my sound decided to stop working when I loaded it back up after closing it. I tried to watch a youtube video, but still no sound. There is no issue with my headphones, and when I look at the playback tab, the speaker levels rise and lower as the video plays.

In the playback tab, however, there are 3 "NVIDIA Outputs" which all say "Not plugged in." I am assuming this is the problem. HELP!

Too light on details.

But do head to the Speakers in the control panel and try the other outputs.

I forgot to mention to reboot the PC too.

Rundown of options

I only have these options in the playback tab:
NVIDIA Output
NVIDIA Output
NVIDIA Output
Speakers

All the NVIDIA Output are "Not plugged in" and greyed out.

I have rebooted and restarted the PC many times, but nothing has happened yet.

Headphone Problem

I think the issue is actually with my headphones. I just plugged in another pair, and they work.
I have warranty on them so I will get them checked out.

NEVERMIND
Mar 3, 2018 11:27AM PST

Nevermind! On my headphones there is a slider to adjust the volume, and it was set to the lowest (mute).

However, I am still worried why there are 3 unplugged NVIDIA Outputs in my playback tab.
