So far the fix usually involves a call to HP if it's not fixed with that link or SFC /SCANNOW. Here's a typical call and look at the list of drivers involved. It's not funny anymore.
My problem is that the wireless network adapter stopped responding, and it still doesn't work after installing/updating the drivers. I've also discovered that I can't update with other drivers because some function has been enabled (by an HP update I think) which immediately reinstalls the faulty drivers every time I uninstall them. And I mean immediately - within 10 seconds - and doesn't give me any option to do otherwise.
Basically, it seems like I'm stuck with faulty drivers, forever rendering my laptop to desktop status, because the internet only works when it's plugged into the router.
Has anyone else had a problem like this? How did you fix it? Do you think getting help from HP would be useful? It's ironic that my warranty expired the day after this happened.
