NVIDIA Driver Crashing or is my cpu just overheating?

Feb 4, 2015 4:08AM PST

So basically while using my computer, the monitor will just go black and flash until it either recovers and will just work fine afterwards or just never recover and I need to force restart my computer. I don't really know what is causing the issue, clearly from the error it has something to do with my video card. The things that I normally have open are: Skype(video chat), Steam(Gaming or not), Internet(Twitch + Facebook etc.). This problem will occur when I am just browsing the internet to even playing a game (which will run fine). I strongly feel like something is overheating, but I just don't know what because my video card has never gone over what is on the benchmark test.

Did you try the old cover off test? Cover off, point a fan at the open PC, re-test.

Once you minimize it, the system temps remain on the screen so you see the CPU, GPU temps etc.,
