Great question but is it time for the machine's maker to step up and help you out?

In reply to: Great question.

The tower was a to-college Christmas thing they got online, and I'm not sure where.

Given only the details so far my reply is to draw folk into their conversation to reveal more detail. I don't always ask this the same way. There are too many reasons for such crashes from hardware issues, software drivers to bugs in the games.

One poor soul had such crashes and after we figured out it was in a specific game we found that game did have an issue with certain settings.

And there it is, most folk don't research such areas and while we found that one, here we are without a lot of detail.

I have a lot of advice about canned air use, reducing CPU cores and more but until I hear more I don't go in any particular direction. The maker however gets pummeled with calls if the design isn't good.
