This is actually a great question. Although I specifically work with the US TVs, I assume that the international versions work on the same principles and offer the same basic features and hardware. In this case, the Samsung 3D TVs use the HDMI 1.4 standard to transmit a true 3D signal. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am not familiar with a DVI-to-HDMI cable that supports this standard, nor do I know of any DVI output that will support the 2011 3D standard.
I am assuming that the 8800GT's 3D system is actually the Nvidia 3D Vision standard. Since Nvidia 3D vision does not use the HDMI 1.4 standard, its 3D signal will not be compatible with the 2011 Samsung 3D TVs.
