Nuns are much more, dare I say laid-back than they used to

be, at least the way they were portrayed, but just as out of touch with the facts of life.

I notice this hasn't created the sort of firestorm of commentary as it used to, but do please let me know if Rush Limburger (he stinks, he stinks) weighs (how else?) in on this one, since the church generally is conservative and I might expect him to be deeply conflicted between the opportunity of a good misogynist rant and his protectiveness over "his kind of people".

The other nuns in her order were "surprised", and the nun in question had no idea she was pregnant. Uhhh, yeah, sure, keep telling yourself that. Wasn't the fact you stopped menstruating a bit of a clue? and the expansion of your waistline at the same time? Mind you old fashioned nun's robes would be a great cover.

I mean no disrespect to the woman in question. I'm glad her life isn't as barren as it was intended to be. I hope that she gets to stay in the convent and continue as a nun. I can't imagine a more nurturing environment always assuming Sister Disciplinia Magna is a figment of the popular imagination, or at least Continents away.

Rob.
