Question

Numeric pad Microsoft ergonomic keyboard

Mar 23, 2020 8:23AM PDT

I bought the ergonomic keyboard from Microsoft (MXL 00006 or something) and use it on my Windows 10 Insider dektop.
After fillinng in my PIN code using the numeric pad the numeric keys dont function anymore. The keyboard functions normally on other PC's with the standard version of Windows 10. Does anyone recognize this problem?

Answer
Try a few things.

1. Tap the numlock button.
2. Change the keyboard type in the control panel.
3. See if Microsoft has a driver download or update.

I did

1. makes no differences
2. No option like that in control panel . I can remove the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center, but thst also makes no difference.
3. Couldn't find any. Option automatically update other Microsoft products is on.

Since the model is unknown.

I'm unable to see if there is a driver or other update. Call it defective and go get a refund to try another model.

Model was called LXM-0006 on the packaging

Instead of MXL as I wrongly stated first.
On the bottom is embossed Model 1878. And it looks like the first model priced € 70 on
Soince the numeric keys do work when I enter my pincode with them, I suppose the problem must be in the Insider builds.
On an entry in the feedback hub I got untill now no reactions.

Insider builds?
Mar 24, 2020 9:26AM PDT

Sorry but support for that is back on Microsoft's own Insider forums. Anywhere else and you are a fish out of water as no one knows what is broken.

Again, insider builds are for you to find bugs like this, report them and hope for a fix.

OK

That's what I did and I'm still hoping.
But if this is not the place, you may remove this thread

Good to see that.

As it's an insider build it's nothing I can help with. No reason to remove the thread since it's good to find issues about Insider builds. That is, some folk come up with issues and because I don't run into Insider builds too often I forget to ask if such is in use. Again because there are forums just for insiders.
