Number Pad on Laptop

Jun 30, 2009 3:09PM PDT

Hi, on pretty much all of the laptops I've seen in the past, there has been a numpad on the keypad that can be accessed through the Fn key.

However, recently I purchased and received a DELL XPS STUDIO 13 and there is no numpad that I can find.

Does anyone know how I can get a numpad on to this laptop or if there's a numpad on the Dell XPS Studio 13 but I just don't know how to get to it?

Thanks for all of your help

Didn't see any dual-markings on any of the letter keys to indicate a number pad grouping on the photos I've seen. I didn't even see a num lock key. Serious omission, if that's the case. Even my lowly 9 inch Asus netbook has a numeric keypad "area" marked.

you can try purchasing a number pad usb attachment. I like those better cuz then you have a dedicated num pad and it just feels better to use. it is added stuff tho, they should have included one.

is marked on the keyboard, then, it's unlikely to be designed into the circuitry. As the previous poster has suggested, you'll need to obtain an external keypad for it, though the top row has the usual number rows, but i'm guessing you're using it for specific purposes, thus seperate one is a better option in this case.
