Sorry but once you record in PAL there is no unit made that you flip the switch to play on NTSC (keeping our selves confined to camcorders.)
Frankly I would get my PC involved and copy the work over to it then use the FREE and nice DVD FLICK (see google) to create a NTSC or PAL DVD from my video content then play that.
Then again I just use my PC and play that over the video out port to the big screen. All the transcoding is done on the PC this way.

Question:
If i wish to record footage on a hard drive camcorder in the UK, then play the footage back from the camcorder via the AV cable through a ntsc tv in the US.......... Do i have to purchase a camcorder with switchable ntsc/pal connectivity, if the tv in the US is not switchable?
Do they actually make switchable ntsc/pal hard drive camcorders?
I really hope you all undestand what i'm trying to ask!!!
Many thanks in advance...
