Resolved Question

NTDLL.dll error

Aug 18, 2011 1:18AM PDT

Hey guys,

Since a couple of days I have a really annoying error when opening FL Studio 10 (digital music producion software). I run Windows XP SP3, clean install about 2 months ago.
error: "FL.exe - entry point not found. The procedure point Ntalpcsendwaitreceivepoint could not found in dynamic library ntdll.dll"
The error pops up about 8 times, while FL Studio starts up. After clicking away the errors, everything seems to work normal. It only pops up again when I try to load a synthesizer-plugin e.g.

I figured two possible causes:

1. Virus/malware (altough my AVG said I was clean)
2. Driver issues/conflicts

Things I already tried, but didn't work:
1. Virusscan and registry-scan/repair
2. SFC /SCANNOW
3. System restore
4. Reinstalling FL Studio 10 / Asio4all-drivers / Midi-keyboard-drivers
5. Replacing my NTDLL.dll with the original from my XP-cd

After that I found this post on another forum: "I get a "FL.exe - entry point not found Ntalpcsendwaitreceivepoint not found in ntdll.dll" message when i open FL, add synths and various other operations. Everything works, I only get this message that i have to click every time. I uninstalled, reinstalled cleaned registry. used system restore... I started getting this message after I installed samsung kies for mobile and it installed some codecs for video with it."

Then I realized that the problem also started with me after installing Samsung Kies (software for my Galaxy S2 phone) & including audio/video-codecs. I tried uninstalling Kies and the codecs (and cleaned up registry), but the problem keeps persisting.

I'm really trying to avoid a clean install, mainly because I'm afraid the error will reoccur after I install the same progs again.
If you guys could be of any help to solve this error it would be much appreciated! Thanks

Referred to FL's forum.

There's a specific forum for this product. But I did note the usual cause.

usual cause?

Hi Bob,

Thanks for answering. Unfortunately I can't post on the Image-Line forums, cause I'm still using the demo. They restricted the ability to post new threads to people who already the the product.
Btw, what exactly do mean by "install plugins to said app"?

Thanks Bert

Oh. A demo.

Then it's a failed demo. Sorry to read that. At least we read why it fails on their boards. I'm not their tech support and only am pointing you to where the support is and repeating the common failure.

If the product is that bad, uninstall it and move on.

I joined this forum to reply to your post. Hope you appreciate it Wink lol I had the exact same problem, with Fl an Samsung Kies. I found a solution and now fl studios is working fine again, armoredsaint84@msn.com email me, and I will talk you through it. It's easy. That goes for anyone else too, I love fl studios and hated it going wrong on me so if I can help, awesome = )

I would have posted it here, but I needed to be quick.

It seems to happen with folk that install plugins to said app. FL has a support forum to dig deeper so my suggestion is to use their support.
