The S4 is pretty new and there are no reviews available yet.
However....one reviewer is working on a review and has posted an unfinished review. No personal comments or sample photos yet.
But the site says it will be finished in a couple of weeks.
As far as the twisting body, Nikon has built several cameras with this type of feature. So they have experience with this type of design.
I just checked a sample photo from a C-700 and I dare say the Nikon will provide a superior photo. The 2 megapixel C-700 photo is sharp, but lacks detail. The 6 megapixel Nikon S4 will provide that missing detail.
I'm just a hobby photographer but do a lot of traveling and love the zoom on my Olympus but also take a lot of family photos (mostly point and shoot). It is a little bulky and heavy to carry around all day though. I've been looking at the new Nikon Coolpix S4 which has much higher megapixels but same zoom strength. Does anyone know how the 2 compare to each other and would the Nikon a big improvement on picture quality and ease? I've read some comments on the Nikon's zoom clarity and I'm just wondering if it would be worth the upgrade. Also, how does the camera body hold up with the turnable lens end?
