I sure wish these boards had an "edit" function ... but we all can't be perfect.

I was just on that web site Ray because I downloaded the program myself because I didn't have it before, Your version 3.2 is the current one. It was the data base that was updated yesterday, not the version.

I also updated yesterday.
FYI A week or so ago you helped me with a Hunt bar qdow.dll trojan horse downloader problem.
After running all protection and clean up systems everyone came to the conclusion possible Pest scan false positive. Well I had only one more program I had not tried that was AVG 7.0 I downloaded same on first scan avg found problem and deleted it.
I thought you might like to file this for future reference.
Thanks for your help
Ray

That's great Ray, I'm glad you got rid of it. This stuff has gotten so bad now that it's hard to keep up with it. LOL I have found that Pestscan does give false positives sometimes but it also picks up some stuff that others don't pick up so I still send people there to use it and we just try to sort through the false stuff. It takes a bunch of different programs to keep safe nowadays LOL. At the moment I use NAV 2004 for virus protection plus I do a TrendMicro Housecall scan one a week for a second opinion. I also use Ad-Aware SE,Spybot S&D, SpywareBlaster, Stinger, CWShredder and I have HijackThis for emergencies and hopefully it will never get used. I also do an online Pestscan once a week. The only thing that has gotten through lately is an occasional tracking cookie which I just delete with Ad-Aware SE. I also have XP SP2 Windows Firewall enabled. It's a good thing that I'm retired and have plenty of time on my hands LOL.
