(NT) Repair of Delphi MyFI XM2GO

May 8, 2006 7:09AM PDT

My xm2go is broken and out of warrenty. I spoke to someone at Delphi and they said that they don't repair them. They told me to go to a web site and buy another one for 30 dollars.
Should I think that products like my xm2go, that cost over two hundread dollars, shouldn't be able to be repaired in this day and age? Or should I be pissed?
I'm could do with some feedback.

Delphi MiFi 2Go

Same problem here. Charger(s) stopped working. Received updated battery, they charged for a bit then nothing. Called Delphi on numerous occassions (still under warranty at the time) couldn't get thru, left home phone and brief despcription of problem, no callback. Finally I was told to try buying a charger from a local retailer and try that, still under warranty!!! Hello...??? Finally called XM to cancel my subscription and they said they could sell my a new one for $28.00. Already have a 300.00 piece of crap, no sense in spending anymore on the same piece of crap. I assumed I was getting a quality product, doing business thru XM but I was wrong!!! Hello Sirius!!!

DELPHI MYFI

NEED TO KNOW IF ANYONE OUT THERE CAN REPAIR A MYFI WITH A BAD FM TRANSMITTER. IT WORKS FINE WITH CONNECTIONS BUT THE TRANSMITTER DOES NOT AND OFCOURSE IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY. MY MODEL IS SA10113. NOT IMPRESSED WITH DELPHI AND THE INABILITY TO REPAIR WHAT THEY SELL. ESPECIALLY AT THOSE PRICES. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE THE HELP. I LIVE IN PENNSYLVANIA AND WOULD LIKE TO FIND SOMEONE NEAR IF POSSIBLE. MY EMAIL IS KCDAF40@HOTMAIL.COM THANKS ALOT.

Disposables?
Jul 7, 2009 6:53AM PDT

At 30 bucks and out of warranty it is truly disposable. This issue is not a Delphi exclusive but look at all your 30 dollar and under stuff. Most of it is never repaired by anyone but you if you can do this.

Let's say your unit works and has an audio output. You want a FM transmitter so why not Wallmart and a new 10 or less buck FM ipod transmitter and a little duck tape?
