Maybe half of my grass was dead or semi-dormant at least. But the other half (in patches naturally) is still green and growing. We had a light frost last night, and most (unfortunately still not all) the leaves were down, so I went over it this afternoon. But we may get up to near 70 again a week from tomorrow. If this keeps up, I may have to cut grass in December this year.

I'll grant, it's been slow growth, I don't think I've cut it since Halloween actually. I shouldn't complain about once a month. It's more astonishment that it's still growing actually.

I don't plan winter grass, while it may look better, I don't see trying to cut grass at 20 degrees, or over the occasional snow.

There is a season and time for all things, and between Thanksgiving Day and the Ides of March ain't it for cutting grass.

Does hedge count?
Nov 30, 2003 7:15AM PST

The fellow who owned this house before did not want the hedge cut, so it grew into trees. The neighbor cuts his side. So I have spent a lot of time with pruners trying to get the hedge to look decent until I can have somebody with a chain saw cut it way-a-a-y back for a new start.

Worked almost 4 hours on it today, and finally finished the last leg.

Not for awhile now. We just raked leaves for what I hope is the last time this year.
