i (and possibly others) sometimes post the solution/answer to a problem /question in an (NT) post...
.
noticed you put a dot (period) in the text and typed [NT]in the subject, so it is not a generated NT. Noticed some people do that and just put a smiley in the text. LOL
Jonah has a point, and I think it warrants to be fixed.
There is no(some)thing to be fixed. Someone decided that "no content" message shouldn't be indexed. As consequence, it won't show in the search. Is it good, is it bad ? Depends of the perspective. I'll explain mine's, yours (the reader) might be different.
The [NT] inside the title kinda message has a value. It's like a marker for a thread (technical Forum). Under the previous implementations, it was possible a left (NT) edtiting. At the actual one, the left (NT) is removed if there is content. Workaround ? Place it on the right side and type a dot inside the content. So, it was / is a courtesy from me to "say something" in the title. More than that, I was signaling by [NT] not to waste the others time for a futile click. BTW, [NT] is different than (NT).
What's the big deal for such an useless effort would you think ? It worth the extra effort. The right side style [NT] in the title with a dot inside the message is indexed by the Forums? engine. So, it is counted as the number of posts while the automated left (NT) ones are not. If I didn't use this workaround, the robot would?ve stolen a hundred or so of my messages. I won't let a software implementation ignoring mines ![]()
Soooo: To beeeeee - or - NOT TO BE : F i x e d ?
It doesn't matter. Either way, you have a workaround
There are other features that need to be improved. For this one you might use the workaround and just move on.

but IMO not the majority of people. How many people even read the FAQ that CNet provides. Trying to get people to use a 'workaround' when they only want to provide a suitable reply or info in the SUBJECT and not make any comment in the BODY (text) would rarely happen.
Let's think in simple terms. When I was in the USAF, we were told to write in such a manner as a person with an 8th Grade education could understand and follow. At that time the USAF required everyone to have a High School education and proof of age. The US Army required no proof of education or age, so unaware of what the grade level that writers used in the Army.
You Cetin, and Bob, surely have noticed even in the 'Help' forums many people need simple explanations, with step by step hand holding to follow/understand, and then can even get it wrong. I have noticed sometimes that the replies will be thanks from an individual or no reply at all, but just reading their previous post or their past questions (in Search), etc., it is obvious they did not understand , and were too_____ to ask further questions, so let it drop.
Well, instead of NT or TEXT, may I reword the point that I believe Jonah is saying:
'Post with just a SUBJECT title only, are not being shown in Search since the last update of the system.'
I personally believe that post with only a SUBJECT should be in Search just like in the past, and people not have to use a workaround which few will follow.
Now if Lee Koo's programmer(s)(which are out of his department and supervision) find it difficult to correct, requiring a lot of effort (resource $$), then that is another matter.
