Nov 11, 2005 5:21AM PST

Hey Im looking at the following notebook...
http://shopping.hp.ca/cStoreCA/BaseDetails.asp?PType=58&ProductLineId=25&FamilyId=86&BaseId=2581&PView=S&BEId=5&Lang=EN
Basicly what i want to know is if the screen res is too high for such a small screen? Some people say that its too high and will cause everything on the screen to be extreamly miniturized, is this true? Also dose this notebook look good for me? Im looking for something to basicly watch alot of video on (main usage), burn dvd's, some mobile use, e-mail, msn, web surfing and etc. Also is this processor any good for what i use a pc for because ive never really used a amd before. Thanks alot

This is = to 3x4 format at 1024x768. Depands on how good your eyes are. You can set it to a lower resoultion. John

This should be fine for you...

First off, you won't find a lower res than WXGA on one of today's widescreen machines... the next steps up in clarity and down is size are WSXGA and WUXGA.

Second, lappys don't really like to work at anything but their native resolution, so entering a lower setting will likely not render results you'll want. I have an HP with WXGA and it works fine...don't worry. If you still have concerns, go to a Best Buy or Curcuit City and look at the machines there, most of them will be WXGAs (at leat the widescreens will be).
