(NT) internet doesnt work

my internet doesnt work....i click the internet icon on my desktop and the brwoser pops up but its says in the lower left hand corner "Connecting to site 234.34.455...it loads to 4 bars then stops wut should i do??????

You should give more information.....

such as:

1) the Operating system's being used
2) type of Intenet connection
3) what events proceded the problem
4) do you have virus/spyware protection
