With just what you noted, I can't hazard a guess. Why so slim on details? And are you a NT 4 seasoned admin? Do you know that issue with Service Packs and NT 4? Tell a longer story.
Having an interesting problem printing from NT4.0 to a printer shared on an XP machine. When I print a print job appears in the computer's little print queue area. It sits there and then for a brief second it says something to the effect "deleting print job". The document does not get printed. The printer's busy light does come on when the print job is started on the computer but then it shuts off when the job is deleted. Printer test pages (both the Win NT test page and specific brand test features) print fine but printing from programs does what is mentioned above. I would have preferred that the print test page wasn't able to print as well That printer prints fine from other similar NT machines. As well the computer with the printing problem does not have any problems printing to a network laser printer. My guess is there is some setting in the NT machine itself rather than looking at the network but I'm not sure what I would be looking for. Thanks for the help =)
