Resolved Question

nsurlcache folder suddenly appears on my hard drive

May 3, 2014 12:08PM PDT

Recently I had to restore my Mavericks installation from a Time Machine backup. Everything seems to work OK except that I have a new file at the root level named "nsurlcache". Somewhat hesitantly I deleted this folder and restarted my computer. It appears that the nsurlcache folder gets re-created if it is trashed when I reboot.
What is this folder and why am I seeing it? What can I do to get rid of this folder?
Thanks.
John

Thanks for your response. This is along the lines that I was thinking. I just set the visibility flag to invisible so that I don't have to deal with it any longer. Out of sight, out of mind.
