Now onto accessories

What are the first and best accessories to get with your first mp3 player?
here are some considerations:
1) we will be travelling abroad in Spring so I thought an international charger would be good.
2) I am thinking that if you get one of those handy FM transmitters, then you dont really need the speakers since you can play out of home stereos and car. Is this accurate?
3) From what I understand the headphones that come with most mp3 players are not very good and it is worth upgrading to better ones. Can anyone suggest decent headphones?
