Hello there, please help if you can, Im running windows xp (he) sp2,

using both mozilla and IE, both have the same problems

1st problem
I recently been having trouble loading some web pages. I can normally get to the front page eg, Hotmail login, to enter my user name/password, click login and get failed to connect to server ********, check Internet connection proxy settings etc. it does the same for some links and after typing in a address.

2nd problem
Ive tried to run avg/spybot/adaware to see it it clear the problem but when i try to update it i get a similar message to the web pages. This happens on everything i tried to upload.

Ive tried looking at the firewall settings, checking connections but i dont know about proxy settings to change them.

Please help
