Question

Notepad ++ I can't open download from CNET

I downloaded Notepad ++ from CNET on my Mac, but when I double click on the download .exe file, it just opens in Textedit as a stream of text. How do I install and begin using it?

There are other text editors available which do what Notepad++ do, and are free. One that I have used frequently is Text Wrangler by BareBones Software.
