Notebooks with 2 hard drives

by jasta / July 21, 2006 2:26 AM PDT

What are some good notebooks, for less than $2000, that will hold 2 hard drives? This could include business versions, although I don't need it for business.

There are notebooks with two HDD....
by jgvillan / July 21, 2006 6:25 PM PDT

I have an HP DV8000, which can hold two physical HDD, up to 240 GB. Mind you there are two versions, with two different HDD from HP. The DV8000 (AMD) has two ATA, and the DV8000 (Intel Duo) has two SATA. Consider that the DV8000 are also of the 17" widescreen variaty. Due to their size, they have the room to hold 2 HDD. I know that there are other versions, most of them of the OEM brand. I think there are a few from Alienware, but those are for the gaming types. I know that this isn't much, but I hope that this helps alittle. Good luck.

HP nc8xxx - HDD in mutlibay adapter
by subramuiuc / July 22, 2006 2:24 PM PDT

I have a HP nc8000 (3-spindle design) that has a multibay. The multibay can hold either a spare battery or another optical drive or, with a multibay adapter, another hard-drive.
HP currently sells an 80 GB HDD with multibay adapter for $199 (might get it cheaper online elsewhere). The nc8xxx series (pretty robust and reliable) runs around $1500+.

Hope that helps,

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
