USB is all of 500 mA at 5 Volts or 2.5 Watts max. All the 200-300 GB drives I see take 10 to 20 Watts or more. I've see some 80 to 100 GB drives so why not do that and leave some files at home?

Hey, Ive got a notebook with only a weak 30GB. I want to get more storage because ive got alot of of videos and music and etc. But notebook hard drives arent cheap and I cant get them in my desired Capacity (200-300GB). So I looked at external Hd but they all need a ac adapter power supply and it kinda illimantes the portability. So is there a External Enclosure I can get that will fit a 200-300GB Hd and takes a usb power supply? Thanks for your help.
