hey, I have been looking at the TX too and have posted on here with no response.
The TX sure looks good, but Sony's service has put me off a bit although apparently it has got better.
Other models to look out for are the IBM Thnkpad X40 - it is pretty neat. Small, powerful and arguably better built than the TX..
Let me know if you have come across any other alternatives or what you think of the TX if you get it.
-I am wanting a laptop that is very small. I <3 small micro things. A big thing for me is for the laptop to have an integrated cd/dvd tray.I still want to be able to have iTunes, maybe 1 game, surf the net, and do schoolwork such as papers and still have room to breathe. I love evrything about the vaio tx but there are two things that arent so enjoyable such as the cellular connection with cingular and the sony service help. I have another laptop form sony the K Series and it is too big for me and yet i have not used the maintenance, and i don't know wether or not i would use the cellular service anyways. And another thing is the price. I am, so far, going to get the bare minimum of the series and then upgrade it as needed. I am wanting some suggestions on some laptops that have enough battery life for maybe two movies, so 4.5-5 hrs, and an integrated cd/dvd-rw tray, and other things that come along with this notebook, without the nasty reseipt of 2,000$!
Plz. any suggestions anything would be thoroughly appreciated. Oh, and by the way, do not respond if you are not answering the question. I dont want negative feedback, just answers.
