There must be some dozen we've fielded like this. We never gave it a second thought since the laptop does not "seal" to the cooling pad and there would not be a vacuum or issue that I could see.
i posted this question in another thread but wanted to receive more input as its own topic.
i have a notebook cooler that i would like to use with my presario r3360. it's a pentium 4 unit that hardly gets warm but dont want to risk any damage if left on for long periods of time.
the laptop has two fans on the bottom, one runs full-time, the other intermittently, to draw in cool air from the bottom and blow it out the back and sides, respectively.
my concern is that because the laptop fans are pulling air away from the bottom and the cooler is also pulling air from the bottom of the laptop that this would create some sort of vacuum and cause more problems because of it.
what are your opinions? thanks!
