Notebook as tv?

I'm not talking about using a notebook as a Tivo or anything, but could a notebook be used simply for viewing television programs given the right peripherals and software? And what specific peripherals and software would you recommend?

Yup.

You add either an USB or PC-Card TV/capture card and tuner. It's not wireless like Wifi since you need cable or antennas. But it works. ATI sells a popular unit.
