Hi. I do hope someone can help. I have an HP Pavilion a1010n, XP Home, Lite-On DVD. I tried to burn a DVD and the program wouldn't open (Sonic Record Now or Roxio). I believe there are multiple problems, but start with this: I tried to do a software repair (HP program) and it told me first to do a system restore. Clicked that and it said "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." I then tried HP System Diagnostics and it gave the same message. I did a partial restoration 4 months ago and since that time I have been denied access to files in forwarding email. The restoration created a partition on the external hard drive but not on C drive. I have mailed HP about the DVD. My concern is the network resource unavailable. I am blocked from everything I try to do.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
