Not very Computer literate...

by Tygalily / October 10, 2009 12:33 AM PDT

I have a Dell Inspiron 1100. It was rarely used, it is about 6 or 7 years old. It stopped working and I took it to the repair shop. I was told it needed a new Motherboard at a cost of about $250.00 + labor. I asked if I could buy one on my own would they install it and they will. My dilema is, I have no idea what to get. It has a code PP07L if that helps. Please if anyone can help me I would appreciate it!

Before you resurrect something that old you might want to shop around for a new L/T there are a lot of them out there and for a couple hundred dollars more you could likely find something that would wring your older set up out and then some.

You are very right. I was just thinking it was such a waste to get only a year and half from this computer. But even more a waste to get it fixed when I can buy a new one. Thanks for your input and opening my eyes!
