They sound oddly encoded or need cleaning. Remember the old jpeg exploits?

-> I don't have the link handy but a jpeg can have some "preview" image which can trip up some viewers. Cleaning or a batch convert with IRFANVIEW usually clears this up.
Bob
a friend gave us a CD with 18 Jpeg files and 1 'thb' (thumbnail?) file
when i put in the DVD player (which usually shows Jpeg files), all i got was a series of black screens with a white "X"
i copied the jpeg files (each of them 1.6M) to another Cd, but got the same result...
viewing the CD on a laptop i can see the pics, but not on the DVD player...
any ideas?
