Jun 18, 2007 1:03AM PDT

I have Window XP. I have to do some papers for a a group of people & two of them have names thar use a bar-dash-something like that over one of their letters in their names. I've tried different things but couldn't get it to work. Any help here? I was thinking that I would just use a pen to do it with..help?

Maybe Character Map can help

If your refering to symbols over letters, try start/all programs/accessories/system tools/character map - careful to select the font that you want.
If this isn't what you want, post back.
Good luck,
Eddie

What Software are You Working In?
Jun 18, 2007 5:46AM PDT

You mentioned WinXP but if you told us the name of the application program you are writing the papers in I must have missed it.

In most word processing programs there is an option for using special characters. Often the option is accessed from the Insert option in the to Menu, 'tho sometimes it is accessed from other choices (Edit, et al). Look in your software menus for Insert or Insert Special Characters. When you find it, look through the character set for the "en-yi" which is the 'n' with a tilde above it. I believe that is the character you are looking for for the name "Muniz" or "Munoz". In Microsoft Word, there are several different character sets, some of which do not contain the character mentioned. Just select another character set and look through it until you find the one you need.
