Not sure what printer to buy

May 3, 2007 3:52AM PDT

Could someone recommend me a printer for a office with about 10 workstations. Our requirements are NO PAPER JAM, the printers I liked have had user reviews stating major/frequent paper jams, this is a complete nono. I know all printers have there time, but I would like the best out of the pack. Our budget is no more than $600-$700. We are looking for an all in one printer, primarily for the network scanning feature, where users can scan an image and have it delivered to there desktop either in the form of an email or in a network folder. Printer speed isn't of a major concern but we do ask for a b&w laser, so regular speed should be good enough. Color is an added bonus but not needed. I have checked out the HP Officejet Pro L7680,HP Laserjet 3052 All-in-One, Lexmark C532dn, but user reviews seem to bash them in some way that scares me. Could someone recommend me a printer that fits the needs and is known to be reliable. Thanks

My neighbor couldn't believe it and bought one. My dad bought one. It's very fast and is an "Office" printer. Very solid printer.

The 5400tn has the network option to fit in better. You'll like the price.

All-in-one's have been disasters at our office. Maybe a real printer will be the answer.

Need network scanning?

But we require the ability to scan and send documents to user's workstation, that is our main reason for buying a new printer. The printer looks really good though, thanks for the quick reply.

I know no one that has it. I'm sharing what others and I have bought that doesn't have your issue.

Maybe you can get it in writing that you want your money back if it paper jams.

You might want to take a look at that Brother printer. The cost per page is good, and from what I have heard it is a good little printer.
