Not possible to review CNET downloads on Chrome

Jan 31, 2013 1:36AM PST

I've tried but seems i cannot leave a review of CNET downloads on Google Chrome... I have Safari as my backup browser too but i'm not going to bother doing that because i'm a proud member of FileHippo & MajorGeeks & never had such problems with them! Firefox i won't use because it's too slow for Power Users... (Their Aurora thing is still on alpha testing & has many bugs) So i'll ditch CNET but i won't ditch my Chrome... After all, for power users it's not the site or brand it's all about if you can deliver or not!
And yes i'm using the latest Chrome version with the latest Flash update so don't blame it on the browser!

I just submitted a review with no issue using Chrome...

Version 24.0.1312.57 m

Which Chrome version are you using? And is it on a PC or Mac? Can you also specifically tell me what happen when you try to submit a review? Do you get an error or simply nothing happens.

Any details you can provide will help us investigate this issue.

Thanks!

Problem submitting a reviw on CNET
Jan 31, 2013 10:49PM PST

Well i'm using Version 24.0.1312.57 m also! I'm using a Notebook Windows 7 32 bit I still don't know if is the Ghostery extension that's blocking some widget or CNET cookie/script because it was your answer that made me think about that! So i'll whitelist CNET on Ghostery options or i'll disable it temporarily when entering CNET...
Anyway thanks a lot for your answer if you have any other idea of what could cause this problem i would appreciate your information Thanks!

Ghostery was disabled for CNET now

If i can submit this reply it means that Ghostery was to blame... Well CNET is now whitelisted This could be useful to other Ghostery users! Thanks for your answer!

Ghostery is to blame on this one!

I didn't get an error message but nothing happened! The only way to solve this problem is to whitelist CNET on Ghostery options or disable it temporarily when entering CNET... Maybe you should warn new members that register that CNET must be unblocked before they can post reviews or use the CNET Forum! Otherwise the downloads always work even when Ghostery is blocking so probably the average user will never encounter this problem, but for power users that can't live without Ghostery this is gonna be an issue when they try to review your software offers! Thanks guys! I would hate not to be able to use your Forum or contribute with my reviews!
