1.) What security and/or privacy software do you use? It could be that the software is stripping code from the website and blocking the images.
2.) Are you behind a router? (Same reason.)
3.) Have you checked your HOSTS file? It could be set to block various cnet-related sites including com.com.
4.) Check your Fonts folder through the Control Panel and see if you are suddenly missing the defaults.

Using Firefox 1.5.0.8 for default browser with XP Pro. I have been unable to receive Cnet's site with photos and the proper text on Firefox or IE6 - and, my email on MS Outlook is the same way, too.
The text is all similar (don't know what font it is) and is all washed out - it is bearly legible.
Any help? Thanks.
